I recently sold one of your homes to an existing Warren owner and yesterday one of your team (I didn’t get his name) came down to fit some extra double doors. Ken (hubby) and I have lived in Spain for 2 and half years, we retired in 2007 and decided that there must be more to life than rain, grey skies and feeling a foreigner in your own country. We had worked for many years in the health care industry.  We travelled through Portugal and Spain looking for an area to relocate to that was not overly expensive and we would have the opportunity to sample Spanish life.
 
We finally decided on our present location La Posada, in a village called Alameda 45 mins drive from Malaga, and the move was made on the 24th April 2008. La posada is a retirement Park home site with 103 up and running plots and a new section has just opened for a further 18 plots. We have a swimming pool, restaurant/cafe/bar, 5 rink Bowling Green and various social activities, we are 45 minutes from the coast, an hour from Seville in one direction and Granada in another, enough to keep you busy without getting wet and cold! Some people live here all year round and 50% for holiday use. There is no renting the mobile homes out so you always know who your neighbours are.
 
To further integrate in the local community I have been a volunteer for 2 years at the local Residencia (care home) run by the little sisters of mercy, which is an excellent motivator to learn the Spanish.
 
Ken has joined the local fishing club organised by the local Spanish men. Both activities have been the best way to integrate into local village life.

Last May we decided that we had made the right decision in coming to Spain and decided to upgrade the home we lived in, we had originally purchased a second hand Beverley mobile home that could sleep 4 and this served us well whilst we made up our minds if we had made the right move. Once the decision was made we made enquiries about a bigger more permanent home and made contact with Costa Del Paradise, owned by Brice Jennings, this as a family run concern that definitely put the customer first and have a vast knowledge of sites in Spain and the ins and outs of transporting homes from England to Spain. Brice recommended and organised our 2 day visit to Kettering to tour the Prestige Factory, meet Silvano and design our home and choose the furnishings. The design team at Prestige were outstanding and their suggestions and input was vital to ensure a viable finished product, one of our priorities was to increase storage space as we will be living in the home full time.
 
When the home arrived in Spain on the 20th October we were ecstatic, it was big and beautiful!! It was 5 hours before we could look inside as the efficient team from Whites transport had the job of overseeing and siting the home, such is Costa Del Paradises customer care that even the smallest detail was factored in the avoid mistakes, Brice took care of all the details to enable the home to be moved to Spain and the only thing we had to do was transfer the money! The move went without a hitch and arrived in perfect condition. An even bigger surprise was all the "extras" that Prestige had thoughtfully sent with the home, plumbing fittings, wallpaper, coving, skirting boards, etc etc.......... just incase anything needed attention.
 
Because this was the biggest home on the site the interest was immense, Ken has suggested that we have an open day to satisfy growing curiosity. The comment of 2 of our friends who were the first to visit was magnificent, wonderful, we want one and so it continues.
 
Our advise to anyone thinking of doing the same is easy..........Use Prestige for the build and Costa del Paradise for choosing your site and transfer of the home, it was so trouble free it was unbelievable.
 
WHAT DO WE LIKE BEST...... the space, cupboards and drawers, always in short supply in a caravan. Really just the whole look of it

Today we have received our new prestige home.

When it arrived on the loader it looked enormous and it was 5 hours before we could get inside to have a look inside but when we did.............WOW... I can't believe how fantastic it looks, even better than I imagined. The workmanship and finish is excellent, what a good recommendation for Prestige.
 
Because we live in Spain and the rest of the accommodation on the Park is caravans, the Prestige home is the Queen of accommodation and we have already been asked by 50% of the park inhabitants if they can look round, Ken (hubby) has suggested that we have an open day and get it out of the way.
 
Can you please pass our thanks on to Silvano for his hospitality and helpfulness and all the staff at Prestige who worked on our wonderful home, we are over the moon with it and we haven't even moved in yet!!!!!!!

After receiving your magazine this morning it made me do what I should’ve done a couple of months ago. You have done an item on ‘The Anthem Home’. We decided to purchase a 46x20 home from Prestige at the end of October. As it happened we hadn’t been looking for long, we found our site at Birch’s, Littleport by Cambridge then went on from there.

We had seen lots of other designs and been to about six or seven sites but fell in love with Birch’s the minute we went through the gated site. We then went to Prestige and saw The Anthem and that was it, love at first sight, it had all we wanted in a new home. After being in our other home for over 35 years for me what we were going to move to had to be perfect. We had a house full of light and this is what we found again in ‘The Anthem’.
The bow windows were perfect for us as we still had the light, and the size of the Living Room was not much smaller than our old home. The open plan Kitchen/Diner is perfect and is great when you have visitors, as we women can natter while getting the meal ready, and again a nice bright room that is a pleasure to work in with everything you need. The only things we changed were the curtains in the Living Room and we had cabinets in the Bathrooms instead of just a mirror.

We saw Rick when we went to put the deposit down and we dealt with him. We were given a rough date by them and Birch’s as to when we could move. At the beginning of February Silvano phoned us and asked us if he could use our home as display at the N.E.C. We said he could and said if there was any damage at all it would be rectified, we were also given tickets to see the show. When we got there Silvano was just coming out of the home but when he saw us turned around as he wanted to see our faces. We had the house done mirror image because of where we had our site and had not seen how it would look, I just walked in and burst into tears, it was fantastic. Silvano was pleased as well as we had chosen a different shade of wood for the Bedroom wardrobes and people had made good comments about it and he was thinking of using it as a permanent shade. The finish, the look, a total change from our old house has made the move for us perfect. We took a few of our own pieces of furniture as we had a leather suite that was so comfy and it made it feel more like home. We couldn’t be happier if we tried as the thought gone into this home was perfect for us, and Silvano and his team have done a superb job with this home.

We also did a part exchange with Birch’s and this also was a good thing to do, I would recommend it to anyone and I know Prestige also do this we found out later. The life is a lovely one and I would say to anyone thinking of it just get out there and do it. You’re more than welcome to come and see us in our home, as for Bob and I it has been the best move we could have made. We also moved in on April 1st, no Fool’s Day for us as it has turned out to be perfect...

It had everything we wanted, words cannot say how happy and how pleased we are with our home, you really do a fantastic job with all the little details you put in them.  At your factory your staff are pleasant and it is nice to see how well they are made especially as for us it will be a case of not moving again.  Your warmth and commitment to us your customer is wonderful, your Sales and Design staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for any of you.  As you know I cried when I saw it at the N.E.C. as you used it and everything you promised us you did and extra.  I can’t thank you enough for making the change from a big family home to a beautiful retirement home for Bob and I and one I know we are going to be very happy in and we wish you and your team many years of making peoples dreams come true and if anyone wants to come and see this lovely home they are more than welcome because your work is the best.

Are you thinking about it? (moving into a park bungalow) The best advice is DO IT.
We started looking 3 years ago in 2006.  Many, many viewings later, on numerous sites in the North West, we found the one for us.  We actually looked at Croft Park before Lazy Days was developed.  There were just 2 homes on site and despite it looking like a building site we saw it’s potential even then.  But you Ladies know what it’s like. You see the one you want but you still have to look at others before returning to the first one, hours or in our case years later.

Well we did just that. We viewed some beautiful homes, miles from civilization, Some terrible homes in good locations but always returned to Lazy Days Park that provided us with everything we were looking for in a Park Bungalow.  It is central to all essential amenities, transport links and beautiful countryside. This of course is very important as you get older and possibly less mobile. The process of viewing homes can be made pleasant or not and that is usually down to the Site Manager.  In this case Martin Kirk, who was pleasant, but not pushy, honest in the answers he gave and didn’t appear to mind when we returned time and time again with family and friends.  Altogether the experience was both pleasant and exciting.

Of course we are not saying that we didn’t have doubts, sleepless nights and apprehensions, plus of course plenty of negative opinions from friends and family, but it really has been the best move we have ever made.  Because the residents are all “like minded people” they are friendly, forming a real sense of community, where everybody looks out for everybody else.

Our reasons for moving were to obtain a beautiful bungalow style home at a price we could afford and we found this with our Prestige Sonata II Home.
We have many visitors now who can stay over and have the bonus of their own bathroom.  We have no negative comments now from Family and Friends.!!!!!

Remember it’s what you want that that counts and “YOU CAN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN”

New Park Home at Finchale Abbey Village
I would like to thank you and the whole team who worked with my wife and me to construct our dream home.  It has without a doubt transformed our lives.  This fantastic outcome has been achieved largely by you having the same enthusiasm as us to get things right.  As you will recall we set off with a rather crude drawing which was refined by you patiently working with us and your design team.  The collective wisdom regarding the construction & design gave us confidence to be creative.

Our journey in moving from a large four bedroom house to a park home started by finding a park we felt we would be happy to live for many years.  Then we chose our site which has a river view.  The lodge was designed to make the most of these views.  We didn’t rush into the process; in fact we did a huge amount of homework first.  We are very pleased we did because we discovered there is a massive difference not only in the quality of different providers, but also in their commitment to supporting the customer to get a truly bespoke home.

Once we had seen the build quality of Prestige and spoken to key members of the team, we were convinced that the company were head and shoulders above others we had seen.  We stress this because we hope you may make this letter available for potential new customers.  Our research was thorough and could save others from the need to “shop around” and reach the same conclusion.

We enjoyed our visit to Kettering & the hospitality offered.  Working up the specification with Rick, who had a “can do” approach was great.  Your energy, enthusiasm and wisdom ensured we were kept central to the process of development throughout.  As the construction started, Jane was in regular contact and we would discuss the fine detail with her.  This level of communication was extremely valuable, and ensured a complete understanding of what was happening.

When the home arrived on the park it was extremely exciting.  However, we had a few nerves in relation to its siting, as it looked huge.  Our fears were unfounded as the team seemed to effortlessly put it together.  The next day the interior was prepared and thoroughly cleaned.  There it was our new home, transformed from a crude drawing on a scrap of paper to what we immodestly now claim to be a “dream home” with magnificent views.

We were encouraged to complete a careful inspection and identify any imperfections.  There was virtually nothing we could see which needed attention.  We did manage to compile a short list and submitted it to Simone.  Almost before we knew it Shane arrived and dealt competently with things.  We have spoken to Simone on several occasions and we are very confident about her ability to get things done.  We have also seen Shane a number of times on the Park and he always stops to have a word.  He is very pleasant and polite – an ideal person to have in your home.

So, we will finish as we started, by saying a big thank you to all those at Prestige who help us transform our lives.

Final thought – everyone should live this way!

The enthusiasm and willingness shown by yourself was greatly appreciated during the designing and ordering stage. We finalized the order in January 09, March 09 it arrived. We ordered and purchased a three bedroom lodge from you in 2008 because we have planned to go into the holiday letting business in Pembrokeshire. It is the first time we have ever done anything like this so we were understandably quite daunted by the prospect. However, you made this so easy for us in so many ways.

Without hesitation you invited us to your factory in Kettering, Northants so that we were able to personally choose from a wide range of furniture, curtains and other designs. We were instantly made to feel very welcome. Silvano, you insisted on meeting us personally that day even though you were actually on sick with a severely bad back and were in obvious pain as you showed us around. We greatly admired you for that and really enjoyed the lovely rapport we developed with you. Our trip to Kettering allowed us to choose exactly what we wanted and we enjoyed the interesting experience of seeing exactly how the Prestige holiday homes are built.

Our lodge arrived in Pembrokeshire exactly when you promised and it was everything we hoped that it would be. It is really grand, wonderfully made and full of quality. We are delighted. We are very excited as we already have a number of holiday bookings in our first year of business and we are certain that once our customers see the lodge they will re-book next year.

Throughout the whole process we have kept in regular contact and you have always been very helpful and helped us to answer any questions we’ve had. We would also like to thank Simone who has been very friendly and efficient on the telephone and always got back to us exactly when she promised. Thanks Simone!

I just wanted to write you a quick letter thanking you and all involved for our fantastic new home that was delivered at the end of October.

As you know before I came to Prestige I had approached other manufacturers of Park Homes and thought that bad customer service was the norm in the industry – Prestige dispelled this as soon as I made contact.

I came up to visit soon after this initial contact for an informal chat and for a look around the show homes.  I was also to my surprise shown around the factory – something that was never offered at the other companies I had visited.  You also then personally visited my home to see the plot of land and to ensure that what you were going to design would be suitable for the plot of land.

We then arranged another visit and I bought my partner up who was equally as impressed with Prestige as I was.  He works in the building industry and when he carried out a comparison in the build to other manufacturers we were getting a much better standard of build with Prestige.

Our new home was a bespoke design and I really do feel that you did everything that you could to ensure that we maximized the space available to us.  I also believe that Prestige were very innovative, to allow us to increase the width of the home we discussed the fire proof cladding, which had only recently been launched into the market.  Prestige helped me to gain approval from the local council, who own the site, to allow us to encroach into the 6 metre separation distance due to the fire proof cladding that they could provide. 

With all of the information we had received and seen when visiting Prestige we then decided to order from Prestige and I am so glad that we did although it really was an easy decision to make.

We have now lived in the home for 3 months and I still have to pinch myself when I drive up the lane that this is actually our house now.  It looks fantastic both inside and out and over exceeded my expectations.  I knew that we were going to be getting a top quality home but it is much better then that.  Our old home was very old and battered and I really do not think we would have survived the cold spell recently had we still been living in it.  Our new home is lovely and warm and actually costs less money to heat and keep warm then our old home, which really never did reach warm.

After sales has also been fantastic, any issues that we have are dealt with promptly – nothing of which has been major and was to be expected as the home settled.

Overall I am glad that I had bad experiences with other manufacturers as it led us to Prestige where our experience has been great and I have and will continue to highly recommend them to other residents on the park.

Happy New Year to you and everyone at Prestige.

Last year was a busy and exiting year for us. It was in June that we placed a deposit to reserve a plot at Weybourne Hall Park in North Norfolk.
This was a perfect choice for us, a nice quiet park, the plot surrounded by trees and beside a small lake and with plenty of wildlife around, and within walking distance to the sea.

Now we needed to find a manufacturer to work with us so that we could design a holiday lodge of our dreams to make the best of our chosen plot.
Fortunately, Prestige Park and Leisure Homes were suggested to us and we arranged to see them at their factory. On our first visit we were impressed by the infectious enthusiasm and the professionalism of you and your staff, and found it very useful to be shown the various stages of manufacture, and the quality of build involved, on a tour of the factory. We returned home with lots of ideas and options to consider as we realised, with your encouragement, that virtually any change to the basic design was possible. It was great to see the final designs turning into reality on another tour of the factory and we could also see that the delivery date was going to be met, which it subsequently was.

We were thrilled to be able to spend our first holiday in the Lodge at Christmas and New Year. The Lodge is bright and airy with all mod cons and at the same time warm and cosy. The modified design makes the best use of this unique site, taking in account the movement of the sun and the view over the lake.
Inevitably there can be small problems when you move into a new home, and when we had a problem with the central heating boiler, it was sorted out straight away and nothing was too much trouble. This is just the after sales service that you would expect from a professional company. Well done.  We are so pleased with the high quality of the materials, workmanship and after sales service, as you promised we would be, so that we can look forward to many years of pleasure in our new holiday home.

We have recently purchased a Park Home from you and we felt we had to write to say how happy we have been with everyone at Prestige.We started out our search for a company to build us our Dream Home about 2 years ago and we went to several companies before finding Prestige.The first thing that impressed us was a small thing but the fact that everyone from your company always returned our calls which we had not found with any other company, and if they cannot return your call before you purchase what chance have you got once they have your money.

The second thing that impressed us was the friendliness, professionalism and carefulness to detail of all the staff. You are truly a great team.The people that we wish to give a special mention to is, Jane the lady who helped us through the development, Simone the lady who dealt with are after sales both have been very friendly and professional. We also have to thank the workmen who visited our home, Shane, Stewart and Bill; they were all very helpful, polite and sorted out all our problems.We are now very happy in our new Prestige Park Home, it is beautiful and the best thing we have done. We cannot end this letter without a special Thank You to Silvano who advised on the home and gave us his time to help design our wonderful home.

Well I now know what the phrase Wow factor means. It’s a Prestige Park Home and I absolutely love mine. The best day of my life was coming to your factory and deciding to have a new Prestige Park Home. I loved seeing your show homes on display next to your factory which gave me ideas when designing and specifying colour choices. The factory tour was a must to confirm the quality of the build structure and finally the personal attention to detail all your staff gave me during the whole process. The delivery was on time which in this day and age is remarkable and if I needed to talk to you or your staff, you were always on the other end of the phone giving that old fashioned service which is also very rare today. I feel like one of your greatly extended family, thank you all so much.

My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the design and first class workmanship of our new park home. We both live and work on park home estates therefore have been fortunate to view many homes made by other manufacturers, our 38’ x 12’ Minuet is far the best we have seen,
with its superb vaulted ceilings and all the other mod cons it’s a joy to live in.

All our family and close friends have been so amazed how very spacious and luxurious it is, a few of them are now thinking seriously of selling their bricks and mortar homes releasing some of their equity to buy one in the future. Finally we would just like to say congratulations for your excellent after care service, some other manufactures have problems with their after care service, not you, nothing was too much trouble and we always spoke to a human being. I am pleased to say we are absolutely delighted with our Prestige home. We like the Sonata layout and having two bathrooms is very convenient.
We are not dissatisfied in anyway, only that we wish we had done it sooner, it’s everything we wanted in a home.
The people at Prestige were very helpful and went out of their way to please.
