Roy Gallagher has resigned as Director and Company Secretary of Country Homes (Anglia) Ltd and has taken a well earned retirement
Prestige Directors Silvano Geranio (Managing) and Eric Jones (Finance) have joined the Country Homes Board of Directors and will work closely with Steve Ekins the current Sales Director to ensure a smooth transition of duties over the coming months

Silvano Geranio and Eric Jones are founder members of the Prestige Group’s manufacturing company Prestige Park and Leisure Homes Ltd based at Kettering, Northants. That company was formed less than 5 years ago in 2007 and now employs 120 personnel

Prestige intends to use some of its experienced senior management team to help to increase output at the Brome factory, introduce efficiencies derived from the benefits of economies of scale and use its sales and marketing expertise to further establish Country Homes’ reputation as a leading player in the market place.

Prestige Park & Leisure Homes have secured a top location as the spot for their new Northern Show Site.

Prestige will be launching their new Buckland Lodge on Saturday October 1 at McArthur Glen’s York Designer Outlet just outside York City Centre, in conjunction with leading park operators in the area, which will also be on hand to provide information about their parks and the holiday home lifestyle.

September 2011 / How we bought our Prestige home on the internet!!

Eunice & I have been living in Western Australia for the past 36 years, however having a family in UK finally had its pull and we decided it was time to come home. We were living in our second park home in Australia, having reached an age where gardening and big house maintenance had lost its attraction for us.  In view of this, it was a natural progression to consider looking at park homes in UK, affordability being a major consideration.

Distance was our first stumbling block, approximately 10,000 miles (20 hours flying time) obviously made it impractical to visit manufacturers and park home sites easily. We therefore turned to the internet and started researching the various web sites. After lots of looking into both manufacturers and park home sites, we finally shortlisted two companies. Both had excellent web sites and both offered quality homes. We then looked for the “extra value factor, appearance, time to construct, etc.” Prestige Park & Leisure Homes offered a wide range of attractive designed homes, a full range of quality white goods, construction time was good and overall value for money

Having decided that Prestige was the manufacturer to run with and the “Concerto” was the home for us, we then arranged for several changes to the specification, Prestige were very co operative and helpful with all of the proposed changes and quickly incorporated them, when practical in updated drawings.
Before we could order a home, we had to find somewhere to put it, location being important as we wanted to be near enough to our son and his family without being on their doorstep. We finally settled on Somerset, a county we knew well from years past, eventually finding Chilton Park, Bridgwater a reasonably new development to locate our home. (Again all this was done on the internet)

To cut a long story short, we finally went to Prestige, and met the Sales team including Silvano Geranio, the Managing Director. An absolute live wire, within less than an hour, he had shown us all sorts of improvements that could be made to our home and, because of a hold up in construction, caused by me, arranged for them to be incorporated at no extra cost. His motto is: “What ever it takes” and believe me he lived up to that motto. Not only with the improvements, but also, arranging for the home to be completed earlier than scheduled to speed up the occupation date for us. Living out of suit cases can be very difficult at the best of times, coming from Australia to UK with changes in climate making it even more so.
I must confess that I found Prestige a very caring company to deal with.

Chilton Park  management and staff also pulled out all the stops once the home was delivered,  getting the utilities connected, having the drive laid, skirting built and garage ready for when we arrived. I know they had a few headaches also. Our appreciation is extended to them also.
We have been in our home just over three weeks now and all in all, things have gone well for us.
To  Prestige and all those tradesmen that work in the background, to the decorators, furnishers, carpet layers, draftsmen, designers, sales staff, a big thank you.

The Matrix Lodge was launched at The British Leisure Show in March and wowed both trade and retail customers alike.
